Job Description

The school speech/language pathologist conducts assessments, diagnoses, and provides therapy for students with communication disabilities at one or more school sites.

Services include consultation, intervention support, evaluations, professional development, and participation in school improvement activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws such as FERPA, IDEA, NAC, and Section 504.

Key responsibilities involve supporting MTSS/RtI initiatives, completing evaluations, assisting with IEP development, delivering evidence-based therapy tailored to students’ cultural and assistive technology needs, and coordinating transition services.

The role requires maintaining documentation, collaborating with educators, parents, and specialists, and staying current in the field. Qualifications include a degree in speech/language impairments, relevant licensure or endorsement, and preferred certification. The position offers full-time or part-time hours with compensation starting at $71/hour, based in person.
