Job Description
The Speech and Language Pathologist provides specialized assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for students with severe behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing skills, recommending AAC devices as needed.
Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans in various settings, supporting communication and feeding goals.
Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to implement strategies, train staff, and support students’ progress.
Integrate communication strategies into behavior plans and crisis interventions, maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.
Qualifications include a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CA licensure, and experience with severe disabilities; preferred skills include ABA, AAC systems, and bilingual abilities.
