Job Description

The Language, Speech and Hearing Specialist provides assessment, diagnosis, and individualized therapy for students with communication challenges to support their learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and interpreting results to develop and modify students’ IEP goals.
  • Providing remediation through individual and small group instruction.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ needs.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams, voice clinics, and providing staff and parent training.
  • Maintaining documentation, staying current with regulations, and pursuing ongoing professional development.
  • Qualifications include a valid credential per California requirements.
