Overview:
Assist residents by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders to improve their quality of life while adhering to regulatory standards. Foster a compassionate, person-centered environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
– Master’s degree in Speech-language pathology and valid state license
– Preferably previous experience in long-term care
– Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills
– Ability to perform physical tasks and handle emotional stress
– Flexibility for working outside standard hours and traveling
Responsibilities:
– Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop treatment plans
– Maintain accurate, timely documentation
– Collaborate with team members and coordinate referrals
– Stay current with industry practices and enhance clinical skills
– Ensure quality care within billing and treatment guidelines
– Uphold professionalism, resident dignity, and safety standards
