Job Description
The Staff Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for supervising and implementing speech and cognitive therapy techniques for patient rehabilitation.
Work is full-time during weekdays, primarily at the clinic, with occasional work at residential or community sites, during hours 7:30 am-4:30 pm.
The role involves evaluating patients, identifying communication and cognitive issues such as dysarthria, apraxia, language, dysfluency, and dysphagia, and developing individualized treatment plans with both short- and long-term goals.
Therapeutic activities may include modules on cognition, attention, auditory rehabilitation, and other specialized techniques.
Performs reporting and consults with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to inform and advise on procedures and tests.
Requires a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders, current or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
