Job Description
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) provides specialized assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services for students with severe behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Conduct evaluations of speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders, including AAC assessments. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in various settings, supporting communication and feeding goals. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote communication success and train staff on strategies and AAC systems. Support behavior management and crisis intervention by integrating communication strategies. Maintain documentation, ensure compliance with regulations, and participate in team meetings. Qualifications include a master’s degree, current licensure, and experience with behavioral and developmental disabilities. Preferred skills include ABA knowledge and familiarity with AAC devices.
