Job Description
The position is for a Language, Speech, and Hearing Specialist in a diverse school district, responsible for identifying, evaluating, and remediating students with communication disorders.
- Identifies students with speech, language, or hearing handicaps through screening and evaluation.
- Develops and implements individualized instructional programs in collaboration with staff and parents.
- Provides direct/indirect services to improve communication skills and supports classroom and school-wide activities.
- Coordinates with teachers, paraprofessionals, and community members; maintains records and reports.
- Participates in meetings, training, and district initiatives; supervises materials and maintains equipment.
Qualifications include a valid California teaching credential for language, speech, and hearing needs, with experience in serving students with communication disorders. The role is full-time, in-person, Monday to Friday, with a salary range of $65,000-$140,000 annually, based on experience and training.
