This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist role involves providing direct patient care to enhance speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions within a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy, documenting progress, and communicating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Supervises clinical staff, ensures compliance with regulatory documentation, and manages billing-related records. Contributes to team conferences, integrates interdisciplinary input, and educates staff and families. Maintains professional development through continuing education, peer collaboration, and professional presentations. Promotes a positive facility culture, demonstrates safe working practices, and maintains equipment and work areas. Qualifications include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, 2-3 years of rehab experience, and appropriate licensure and CPR certification. Requires physical ability for patient care activities and the ability to work approximately 60-80% on direct treatment. Compensation ranges from $55.00 to $65.00 per hour, with health benefits provided.
