Job Description
The _Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)_ provides quality speech therapy rehabilitation to residents, addressing speech, swallowing, and hearing impairments in accordance with legal and facility guidelines.
Requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current, in-good-standing licensure; ASHA certification (CCC); at least one year of healthcare experience, with long-term care experience preferred. Responsibilities include assessing residents’ functional abilities, developing and implementing measurable treatment goals, conducting evaluations, documenting progress, and participating in discharge planning. Supervises SLP-CFYs and aides, provides education to staff and families, manages scheduling, and ensures compliance with regulations. Provides in-service training, transports residents as needed, and attends meetings and seminars. This is a full-time, day-shift position paying from $50/hour, with benefits including a referral program.
