The SLP is responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering speech therapy services, recommending communication aids, and coordinating care with physicians and team members.

Key duties include assessing speech/language needs, establishing treatment plans, instructing patients and families, and supervising related procedures. The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree in SLP, licensure or equivalent clinical experience, and at least one year of clinical practice.
