Job Description

Inpatient Rehab SLP (Part-time, as needed)

General Summary:

Under supervision, administers speech and language therapy to aid recovery from injury or illness, prevent complications, and support safe discharge. Evaluates treatment effectiveness, documents progress, and develops programs for interdisciplinary teams, adapting as needed. Instructs and supervises patients, families, and staff on therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients, ensuring proper documentation of services.
• Supervise and train staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide accurate, concise documentation meeting regulatory and facility standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members about patient progress.
• Participate in continuing education and develop in-service programs.
• Coordinate with other therapy disciplines and promote patient safety and staff safety.

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered Speech and Language Pathologist license in Michigan.
• Experience in inpatient, skilled nursing, outpatient, or home health settings preferred.
• Pay rate from $50/hour.
