Job Description

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role in the Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) department involves providing speech therapy for children from birth to three years old in Brazoria County. The position is full-time, exempt, and requires ASHA certification, Texas licensure, and clinical competence. The SLP will conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with families and professionals to support children’s communication development. Services are primarily delivered in natural environments, including home visits, which involve parent coaching and direct therapy. The role demands strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills, as well as physical ability to perform various activities and drive extensively. The SLP must adhere to licensing, safety, and background requirements, including fingerprinting and background checks. Salary ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
