Job Description
We are seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy to improve residents’ communication and swallowing abilities.
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations, recommend dietary textures, and document progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, educate residents, families, and staff, and participate in care planning meetings.
- Supervise assistants and students, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster a positive, supportive environment.
Requirements include a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current licensure in Oregon, and preferred CCC-SLP certification. Previous experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is advantageous. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends, with an emphasis on quality care and teamwork.
