Job Description
Seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy services.
- Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and offer dietary recommendations.
- Document progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Supervise assistants and students as assigned, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, valid licensure in Oregon, and preferably CCC-SLP certification. Experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is preferred. The role involves 10 hours weekly, including weekends, and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents’ quality of life.
