Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with applicable regulations.
Evaluates and treats residents with speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders. Conducts resident screenings within 24 hours of admission and upon significant changes or referrals. Participates in facility meetings, staff in-services, and care planning to develop resident programs and support facility standards. Maintains infection control policies, upholds residents’ rights, and manages caseload scheduling. Communicates with administration regarding staffing and productivity, and provides staff education. Maintains professional conduct, attire, and communication at all times. Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, and Asha certification, with preferred SNF experience.
