Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with regulations.

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders.
  • Conduct screenings for new and long-term residents based on specific criteria.
  • Participate in facility meetings, develop resident programs, and assist in meeting certification standards.
  • Follow infection control policies and uphold residents’ rights.
  • Manage caseload scheduling, provide staff education, and communicate staffing needs.
  • Maintain professional conduct, attire, and effective communication at all times.

  • Qualifications include a Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills are essential.

    Pay ranges from $50-$60/hour for 1-16 hours weekly. Benefits include an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
