Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing speech therapy services to ensure high-quality resident care.
Conduct evaluations and treatments for residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, following physician orders. Perform resident screenings within specified timeframes and participate in facility meetings, care planning, and staff education. Develop programs tailored to residents’ needs, help meet certification standards, and adhere to infection control and residents’ rights guidelines. Manage caseload scheduling, monitor productivity, and communicate staffing needs. Present professionally, collaborate with the healthcare team, and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, state licensure, ASHA certification, SNF experience preferred, and strong communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits: $50-$60/hr, 1-16 hours/week, with benefits including an employee assistance program, flexible schedule, and retirement plan.
