Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering speech therapy services to residents, ensuring quality care in compliance with regulations.

  • Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, based on physician orders.
  • Screen residents promptly after admission and upon significant changes or referrals.
  • Participate in facility meetings, staff training, and care planning to develop resident-specific programs.
  • Assist in meeting accreditation standards and adhere to infection control and residents’ rights policies.
  • Manage caseload scheduling, conduct staff in-services, and communicate staffing needs.
  • Present professionally and perform additional duties as directed.

    Qualifications include a Master’s degree, state licensure, ASHA certification, and preferably SNF experience. Requires strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare team members.

    Compensation ranges from $50.00 to $60.00 per hour, with flexible hours (1–16 per week), benefits, and an in-person work environment.
