Job Description
The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles.
Conducts assessments, identifies treatment needs, and assists clients in accessing treatment and resources.
Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction-related issues, including support and education within the community.
Helps clients set and achieve treatment goals, monitors progress, and evaluates outcomes.
Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other departments, and ensures compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
Provides outreach, educational programs, and referrals, with knowledge of community services and ASAM criteria.
