Job Description
The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and choices.
- Conducts assessments, assists with treatment planning, and supports patients in meeting recovery goals.
- Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction issues, and provides educational programs within the community.
- Helps clients access resources like employment, education, and treatment funding.
- Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other agencies, and ensures compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
- Works closely with clinical teams, utilizing ASAM criteria and treatment plans.
