Job Description

The Substance Abuse Counselor (LCAS, LCAS-A, CCS) provides confidential addiction counseling, education, and support to individuals, families, and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and choices.

  • Conducts assessments, assists with treatment planning, and supports patients in meeting recovery goals.
  • Offers individual, family, and group counseling on addiction issues, and provides educational programs within the community.
  • Helps clients access resources like employment, education, and treatment funding.
  • Maintains accurate records, collaborates with other agencies, and ensures compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
  • Works closely with clinical teams, utilizing ASAM criteria and treatment plans.
