Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialized wound assessment, treatment, and management in patients’ homes and long-term care facilities in Lexington, KY.
Perform comprehensive wound evaluations, including measurements, tissue analysis, infection, and pain assessment.
Develop and implement individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Administer advanced interventions such as debridement, dressings, and wound closure techniques.
Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests to monitor healing progress.
Educate patients and caregivers on wound care and prevention strategies.
Monitor wound healing, document findings, and adjust treatments accordingly.
Collaborate with specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Stay updated with the latest in wound care practices and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
This full-time role offers a competitive salary ($85,000-$130,000), benefits, and travel opportunities, with a requirement of at least 2 years of wound care experience. The provider must be able to commute within Lexington and be willing to travel up to 75%.
