Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Nurse in Charge for Ophthalmology to lead insourced nursing services across outpatient, ward, diagnostic, and theatre settings in North Wales, South Wales, and Midlands. The role is ASAP until March with potential extension, working weekends at a pay rate of £350-£425/day.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with significant ophthalmology expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex clinical demands independently. Responsibilities include clinical assessments (visual acuity, slit lamp, intraocular pressure, OCT), assisting with procedures (intravitreal injections, laser treatments), supervising staff, ensuring patient safety, and supporting ophthalmologists.
