Job Description
The Part-Time Dermatologist provides comprehensive dermatologic care in an outpatient setting, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of skin, hair, and nail conditions.
Responsibilities include evaluating patients, performing procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy), managing conditions like acne, eczema, skin cancers, and conducting skin exams and screenings.
They prescribe medications, order tests, educate patients, document in EMR, coordinate care, and participate in quality initiatives. Collaboration with healthcare team members and supervision of clinical staff are essential.
Qualifications include an MD/DO with dermatology residency, board certification or eligibility, active licensure, and experience in outpatient dermatology, preferably in underserved communities. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and cultural competence are required.
The role involves clinical work in a fast-paced environment, with occasional travel. Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $200,000 annually, with benefits including insurance, CME allowance, and loan repayment assistance. The organization is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
