Inpatient Behavioral Health Therapist

Job Description

This full-time Inpatient Behavioral Health Therapist provides therapeutic support, care coordination, and advocacy for patients in a mental health unit.
Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, facilitating individual and group therapies such as DBT and CBT, and evaluating patient progress to ensure positive outcomes.
They also coordinate discharge planning, collaborate on policy development, and mentor staff and community members.
Requirements include a Master’s in social work, NYS Clinical Social Worker licensure, and preferably two years of inpatient psychiatric experience.
Key skills include strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on compassionate patient care and teamwork.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also necessary.
