Medical Social Worker – Inpatient/ED

Job Description

Seeking full-time Medical Social Workers for inpatient and ED settings with multiple openings.

Responsibilities include providing social work services across diverse patient populations, addressing mental health, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and advocacy.

Requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work, current LMSW or LLMSW license in Michigan, and 1-2 years healthcare or mental health experience preferred.

Work involves variable shifts, responding to emergencies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patient safety and violence reduction.

Must demonstrate excellent communication, crisis management, and documentation skills, along with knowledge of mental health assessment and community resources.
