Job Description
The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) provides leadership in neonatal resuscitation, develops care plans for NICU patients, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
Works 24/7 with 12 and 24-hour shifts, including day and night coverage, without formal call duties. Performs neonatal assessments, admits, manages treatments, and initiates resuscitations, collaborating with physicians. Participates in quality improvement, education, telemedicine, and transport support; mentors staff and contributes to departmental projects. Required to have neonatal ICU experience, appropriate licensure/certification, and skills in advanced neonatal procedures. Engages in non-clinical activities such as education programs and quality initiatives; maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards. Physical and scheduling requirements include standing, lifting, and working 40 hours weekly in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
