Job Description

The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (NNP or PA) provides leadership in neonatal resuscitation, develops care plans for NICU patients, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.


  • Works 24/7 with 12 and 24-hour shifts, including day and night coverage, without formal call duties.
  • Performs neonatal assessments, admits, manages treatments, and initiates resuscitations, collaborating with physicians.
  • Participates in quality improvement, education, telemedicine, and transport support; mentors staff and contributes to departmental projects.
  • Required to have neonatal ICU experience, appropriate licensure/certification, and skills in advanced neonatal procedures.
  • Engages in non-clinical activities such as education programs and quality initiatives; maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Physical and scheduling requirements include standing, lifting, and working 40 hours weekly in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
