Job Description

Seeking Psychiatrists for employment in El Paso, TX, within a detention environment requiring a broad clinical skill set.

  • Provide evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for psychiatric and mental health needs, including urgent care, family, gender-specific, transgender, and pregnancy-related care.
  • Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or equivalent foreign medical school, with board eligibility or certification in psychiatry.
  • Require a full, unrestricted medical license in Texas, BLS certification, and minimum one-year psychiatry experience.
  • Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication management, psychotherapy, telepsychiatry, emergency response, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication, cultural competency, adaptability, and proficiency in electronic health records; Spanish skills preferred.
  • Position involves rotating on-call duties, physical activity, and adherence to confidentiality, safety, and quality standards.
