Job Description
Seeking Psychiatrists for employment in El Paso, TX, within a detention environment requiring a broad clinical skill set.
Provide evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for psychiatric and mental health needs, including urgent care, family, gender-specific, transgender, and pregnancy-related care.
Must hold an MD or DO from an accredited U.S. or equivalent foreign medical school, with board eligibility or certification in psychiatry.
Require a full, unrestricted medical license in Texas, BLS certification, and minimum one-year psychiatry experience.
Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication management, psychotherapy, telepsychiatry, emergency response, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Must demonstrate strong communication, cultural competency, adaptability, and proficiency in electronic health records; Spanish skills preferred.
Position involves rotating on-call duties, physical activity, and adherence to confidentiality, safety, and quality standards.
