Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse – Lead Late Ward Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our small animal hospital in Wiltshire as Lead Late Ward Nurse.

**Key responsibilities include:**

Overseeing inpatient care and ward operations in the late afternoon/evening shift

Supporting the discharge process and ensuring high standards of clinical documentation

Delegating workload and supporting the nursing team while providing hands-on clinical care

Coordinating with the out-of-hours team to ensure seamless patient handover

Maintaining clinical standards and supporting hospital flow during peak times

**The ideal candidate:**

Has previous leadership experience and strong clinical knowledge

Possesses excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills

Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

**Working hours**: 40 hours/week, 12:00pm – 8:30pm, with weekend rotation. No out-of-hours shift required.
