Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our independent small animal hospital in Wiltshire as a Lead Late Ward Nurse.

**Key responsibilities**
• Oversee inpatient care and ward operations during the late afternoon and evening shifts
• Support discharge processes, ensure clinical documentation accuracy, and facilitate smooth hospital workflow
• Delegate tasks, support and guide nursing staff, and collaborate with the out-of-hours team
• Maintain high clinical standards and ensure patient safety and care quality

**Working pattern**
– Full-time, 40 hours/week, 12:00pm–8:30pm
– Weekend shifts on a 1-in-7 rotation with days off in lieu
– No out-of-hours work required

**Requirements**
– Leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication skills
– Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and build strong team relationships
