Job Description

We seek an experienced, RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our independent small animal hospital in Wiltshire as a Lead Late Ward Nurse.

  • £34,000–£36,000 DOE, full-time 40 hours/week, working 12:00pm–8:30pm with weekend shifts on a 1-in-7 rotation.
  • Role involves overseeing inpatient care, coordinating ward activities, supporting discharge processes, and ensuring high clinical standards during evenings.
  • Responsibilities include managing inpatient handovers, delegating workload, supporting clinical treatments, and preparing patients for out-of-hours care.
  • Requires strong clinical knowledge, leadership, delegation, organisational skills, and effective communication.
