Job Description

We seek an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our independent small animal hospital in Wiltshire as Lead Late Ward Nurse.

  • Lead inpatient care during afternoon/evening shifts, ensuring smooth ward operations and high clinical standards.
  • Support discharge processes, delegate workload, and coordinate with the team for efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain oversight of all inpatients, support hands-on treatments, and ensure accurate documentation for handover to out-of-hours teams.
  • Work 40 hours/week, 12:00pm–8:30pm, with a rotational weekend schedule.
  • Require RCVS registration and previous leadership experience, along with strong clinical and organizational skills.
