Job Description
We seek an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join as Lead Late Ward Nurse at a busy small animal hospital in Wiltshire.
Lead inpatient care during afternoon and evening shifts, ensuring smooth ward operations, effective resource allocation, and high clinical standards. Support discharge processes, oversee patient monitoring, and coordinate with out-of-hours teams for seamless patient handover. Work collaboratively with senior nursing staff, providing hands-on care and guiding the nursing team. Full-time role (40 hours/week, 12:00–8:30pm), with weekend rotation and no out-of-hours work required. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and organisational skills.
