Job Description
We seek an experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills to join our independent small animal hospital in Wiltshire as a Lead Late Ward Nurse.
Provide clinical oversight of inpatient care, support discharge processes, and coordinate hospital flow during afternoons and evenings. Support and guide nursing staff, delegate workload, and ensure high standards and continuity of care. Manage handovers, ensure accurate documentation, and prepare patients for out-of-hours transfer. Work 40 hours weekly, with weekend shift rotations, in a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development. Ideal candidates will have leadership experience, strong clinical knowledge, excellent organisation, and communication skills.
