Inpatient Rehab Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part-Time, As Needed

Summary: Under supervision, provide speech and language therapy to patients recovering from injury or illness, focusing on rehabilitation and prevention of complications. Evaluate treatment effectiveness, document progress, and develop individualized programs for patients, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Educate and supervise patients, families, and staff to ensure safe discharge planning.

Responsibilities:

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients, ensuring proper documentation and service delivery.
• Supervise and train staff to promote continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation meeting regulatory and payor standards.
• Communicate with physicians and team members regarding patient progress and treatment plans.
• Participate in continuing education, in-service development, and interdisciplinary coordination.
• Promote patient safety and employee safety in line with safety goals.

Qualifications: Current, unencumbered Michigan Speech and Language Pathologist license. Prior inpatient, skilled nursing, outpatient, or home health experience preferred.

Pay: Starting at $50.00/hour
